Our Founder

With 22 years of experience, owner and interior designer Desiree Trister brings a diverse leadership background to the Andeva Designs studio.

Desiree’s design expertise includes oversight and design approval of numerous commercial developments, as well as luxury interior designs of high-end residential homes.  Desiree’s background allows her to provide client-centered service, luxury and textured design plans, and a detail oriented project management style to create a seamless process for her clients.  Desiree’s design plans often blend a contemporary and traditional aesthetic with a minimalist approach that incorporates quality and comfortable furniture that will stand the test of time.

Desiree started her career in finance and commercial real estate investment and development.  Desiree’s experience ranges from development and asset management of Stanford Real Estate’s diverse commercial real estate portfolio, to overseeing deal negotiation and tenant design of Amazon’s corporate offices in the U.S. and Canada.

In 2022, Desiree followed her passion for residential interiors and established Andeva Designs.  As an interior decorator, Desiree has always enjoyed selecting furnishings that incorporate home organization and functionality, while including the colors, textures, and finishes that her friends, family, and clients love.  The studio has steadily grown to focus on residential and commercial interior design projects throughout the Seattle area.

From Design to Execution

Our Design Philosophy

Our philosophy is to blend a contemporary and classical aesthetic with a minimalist approach that incorporates quality and comfortable furniture that will stand the test of time.

Upfront Assessment

The success of a project is ensuring that the interiors are an accurate reflection of our client’s requirements and dreams for the space. During this stage we learn how the client wishes to utilize their space and their personal style. We typically perform a site visit, take photographs, and review floor plans of the existing space. We also agree with the client on timeframe, budget, and any other needs.

Concept

We will present the concept and design approach, as well as proposed floor plan and 3-D model illustrating the proposed furniture layouts. In collaboration with the client, we typically agree on proposed functionality and use of the space with concepts for furniture pieces to be used.

Design Approach

At this stage, we will present proposed furniture pieces and mood board presentations containing samples of all proposed finishes and images of suggested furniture pieces. This is a very collaborative stage where we work with clients to select pieces they love or discuss options for custom changes.

Detailed Design Development

Once clients have approved all of the concept designs, we progress to the design development and detail design stage. All custom furniture will be decided along with all final finishes and curated art pieces for clients to approve. At this stage we will also present a full breakdown of costs in line with the agreed budget.

Execution

We will regularly attend on-site meetings with the client to ensure our designs are being carried out to their exact specifications and that the project is progressing as planned. We carefully collaborate with architects, contractors, and other trades to ensure the project is proceeding quickly. We will keep the client updated throughout as well as oversee the execution of the design concept from start to finish.
