First Hill sits at one of Seattle's great vantage points and this residence leans into that sense of elevation, both literally and in spirit. The design vocabulary is consistently contemporary with a material palette that layers warmth through texture rather than pattern. The bedroom and living spaces were conceived together, with careful attention to how light moves through the space across the day. The design includes furnishings to showcase the home's stunning views and beautiful art collection to achieve a brighter and more vibrant space perfect for entertaining.

Desiree approached the bedroom space with a desire to create something that felt genuinely refined. The forest wallpaper feels close to nature in a high-rise urban setting with amazing light. The result was a soothing nature scene balanced with luxurious, soft bedding and a custom art piece.

A consistent palette of warm neutrals, natural stone, and brushed metals creates coherence across every room — each space distinct, but immediately recognizable as the same home.

Furniture selections and spatial arrangements were calibrated to the specific light conditions of the First Hill site — maximizing the sense of openness without sacrificing intimacy.

Livability First
Every design decision was filtered through the question of how the space would feel to live in — not to photograph. The result is a home that performs beautifully in both contexts.
